2013 Parinama Shanghai Open
For immediate release – Shanghai hosts the ultimate Ballroom and Latin Dance Showcase on November 2, 2013, at the Shanghai Expo Center.
November 3, 2013, Shanghai – The Inaugural Parinama Shanghai Open was held November 2, 2013, at the magnificent Shanghai Expo Center. Over 250 elite dance couples from more than 20 different countries competed in one of the largest dance championships in Asia. The event was a resounding success attended by over 2,000 dance enthusiasts. Guests included celebrities, senior government officials, leaders of business, art and media, and the Consul Generals of USA, Russia, Argentina, and Ukraine, and the Cultural Consul of Germany.
The event showcased the talents of professional, amateur, and youth couples in the Ballroom and Latin dances. First place for International Professional Ballroom went to reigning international, UK, and British Champions Arunas Bizokas and Katusha Demidova, while the top prize for International Professional Latin went to 5-time Blackpool and 8-time International Champions Michael Malitowski and Joanna Leunis. Danny Lee and Angela Zheng, and Danny Zhao and Svetlana Borisova both representing China, were awarded First Place Asia Professional Ballroom and First Place Asia Professional Latin respectively.
